Learning the embodiment practice of Right Relationship – together.

This course is a must for all helping professionals. It addresses the ethical requirements needed to support helping professionals while working with clients. It teaches communication skills to navigate the professional relationship dynamic and offers tools to resolve challenges that may arise in a clinical setting.

Skills are taught in a supportive environment, and practical psychotherapy exercises are used to help students embody and refine these communication tools.

Course Content

Taught in two parts, this module includes practical exercises to explore:

  3. Personal, Role and Status Power
  4. Impact and Intention
  5. Working with Shame
  6. Boundaries
  7. Conscious Touch
  8. The Four Aspects of Feedback
  9. Barriers to the Four Dimensions of Power
  10. Ethics of Power & Influence
  11. Polarities of Power
  12. Ethical Grievance Processes
  13. Resolving Difficulties
  14. Leadership Styles & Power

This module is based on the principles of Right Use of Power:

  • To take charge and be 150% responsible
  • To empower others and evolve situations
  • To prevent, reduce, and repair harm
  • To promote wellbeing and serve the common good

Certificate: Students who complete AP8 – Communication receive a Certificate of Completion. This certificate is a recognised component of the full Diploma in Applied Physiology.
